Technology Overview

Solar Power System is a system, which uses PV modules to convert sunlight into electricity. The electricity generated can be stored, used directly, fed back into the grid line or combined with other electricity generators or any renewable energy source. Solar PV systems are a very reliable and clean source of electricity that can suit a wide range of applications including Residential, Commercial and Government sectors.

 

Types of Solar Solution System

There are 2 types of Solar Solution Systems. All solutions can be tailored to your needs and utility connected.

1) Stand Alone [OFF-GRID System]
2) Connected to the utility [ON–GRID System]

 

Stand-Alone system

 

 

Stand-alone PV Systems and Off-grid Power Systems operate independently of the electric utility grid (off-grid) and are most often used in remote areas where the electric grid does not reach or where the connection fees are higher than the cost of a renewable energy system. The power generated by these systems is stored in batteries and converted to AC power for household or commercial use day or night time. A Stand-alone Solar Power System can provide a more affordable and reliable source of electricity, particularly in more remote areas and reduce the need for diesel generators.

 

Utility connected system

Connected to the utility transmission grid. These systems generate the same AC power as provided by your utility company. The energy generated by a grid-connected system is used first to power the electrical needs of your home or business. Any surplus power that is generated is fed onto the electric utility’s transmission grid through a net meter device. In this way, you can power up your home and if any of that power is not used it can be feed to the utility grid earning you some credit.
